ECS – BIOLOGY – PESTICIDE REDUCTION IN CONSTRUCTED WETLANDS FOR AGRICULTURAL NON-POINT SOURCE RUNOFF TREATMENT

Purpose. To advise of the electronic availability of a wetland assessment document, “Pesticide Reduction in Constructed Wetlands for Agricultural Non-point Source Runoff Treatment.”

Effective Date. Effective upon receipt.

Background. The Wetland Science Institute, part of the Ecological Sciences Division, developed and previously distributed a wetland assessment document, “Pesticide Reduction in Constructed Wetlands for Agricultural Non-point Source Runoff Treatment.” This document is referenced here to ensure that the science contained in this document remains available and retrievable through the NRCS Directives System.

This document is a condensation of: Moore, M.T. 1999. Fate of Chlorpyrifos, Atrazine, and Metolachlor from Non-point Sources in Wetland Mesocosms, a dissertation presented for the Doctor of Philosophy degree, University of Mississippi, Oxford, Mississippi 38677.
